Southern Virginia Open (SVO)

Open 3-man series, (no D1 or pro players).
We are proud to start the official SVO series after a 2-event trial.
Cash prizes are as follows, and paid out on a minimum of 16 teams (less than 16 teams and the prize pay out will be adjusted)
First: $350
Second: $190
Third: $100

Due the Wednesday night before the event, late entries will be accepted till 6pm Friday night. A $45 late fee will apply after midnight Wednesday night.

The following are the modifications to the CFOA rules:

Southern Virginia Open Tourney

3-Man Center-flag, CFOA rules will be used with the following additions:

Team Composition - To keep seed points, teams must maintain at least two (2) original players from their original team roster. Seed points only stay with original team name attached.

Absolutely no cheating will be tolerated, wiping is a automatic flag hang for the other team, and a loss of 75 points for the team caught wiping. (guys this isn't pro-ball its a fun, fair, safe event, so lets have fun)

3-Man team may roster up to 4 players

3-minute games, with 10 second pre-game warning

Each team will be guaranteed 6 preliminary games

HOW WE WILL PLAY:

Each team is guaranteed 6 games in the prelims. Brackets will be determined based on the number of teams signed up.

WHO MOVES ON AND HOW:

With 12 teams or less, the top 2 teams from each division move directly to finals, 16 or more teams, and the top 4 teams from each division move to semi finals.

SEMI FINALS:

Top 2 to 4 scores in each division in the prelims move on to the Semi-Finals/Finals Semi-Final teams will be seeded by the order of their preliminary finish.
Brackets example: Seeds #1, #4, #5, and #8 in one grouping. Seeds #2, #3, #6, and #7 in the other grouping
Each semi-final team will play round robin within its bracket. The top two (2) cumulative scores from each bracket will move onto the Finals.

FINALS:

Finals teams will play round robin. Final cumulative scores determining the
finishing order.

SEED POINTS:

Teams will receive Seed Points based on their finish at each event. Points will
start at 100 points for the winning team and will descend in 3-point increments per
place of finish. Seed Points will be cumulative for all spring Southern Virginia
Open 3-man events.

Seed point standings will be kept and posted on the field's web site, standing at the end of the 5th event will determine the grand champion of the Spring Southern Virginia Open (found here)

Cash prizes to be determined at each event based on the number of teams entered; grand finale prize to be determined by the number of teams over the 5 event series.
Paintball Virginia reserves the right to add and or change the rules if needed, a date stamp will be added to show when they are changed.
